Annigeri is a taluk in Dharwad district, Karnataka, India. It is situated 20 km west of Gadag, on the way to Hubli, and approximately 35 km from Hubli.
Annigeri (Kannada: ಅಣ್ಣಿಗೇರಿ) is the birthplace of the renowned Kannada poet Adikavi Pampa (Kannada: ಆದಿಕವಿ ಪಂಪ). The town is also famous for the Amruteshwara Temple, a black stone temple built by the Western Chalukya Empire.
Located in Dharwad district, this temple features 76 columns and showcases mythological figures. It also houses a derasar dedicated to Parshva, the 23rd Tirthankara in Jainism.
Annigeri is home to several temples, including those dedicated to Banashankari, Basappa, Gajina Basappa, and Hanuman. Additionally, an ancient Lingayati temple is located near the railway station.
