The Ghanpur temples, commonly referred to as Kota Gullu, are a collection of stone temples from the 12th century situated in Ghanpur, near Warangal in Telangana, India. They are located approximately 9 kilometers northwest of the renowned Ramappa Temple in Palampet.
The Kota Gullu temples were built by King Ganapatideva of the Kakatiya dynasty, who reigned from 1199 to 1260 CE. Unfortunately, they sustained significant damage, likely due to attacks from Muslim armies.
An inscription on a slab at the temple mentions Ganapathi Reddy, who installed the idol of Lord Ganapateshwara and donated land during the reign of King Ganapatideva in the cyclic year known as Jaya Nama Samvatsara.
Kota Gullu consists of approximately 22 temples, each differing in size and design, showcasing the remarkable architectural craftsmanship of the Kakatiya dynast.
