Kukke Subramanya (IAST: Kukke Subrahmaṇya) is a Hindu temple situated in the village of Subramanya, in Kadaba Taluk (formerly part of Sullia Taluk), Dakshina Kannada district, Karnataka, India.
In this temple, Kartikeya is worshipped as Subramanya, the lord of all serpents. The epics narrate that the divine serpent Vasuki and other serpents sought refuge under Subramanya when threatened by Garuda.
The priests at the temple are Shivalli Madhwa Brahmins. The poojas and other daily rituals are conducted according to Madhvacharya's Tantra Sara Sangraha.
The Kukke Subramanya Temple is situated in the Western Ghats of Karnataka. Overlooking the temple is the renowned Kumara Parvatha, a popular hiking destination for trekkers from across South India.
