The Lakshmikanta Temple is a Hindu Vaishnava temple located in Kalale, a village in the Nanjangud taluk of Mysore district, Karnataka, India.
The Lakshmikanta Temple dates back to at least the early 18th century and is constructed in the typical Dravidian style. It is a protected monument under the Archaeological Survey of India, Karnataka state division.
The Lakshmikanta Temple received patronage from several kings of the Mysore Kingdom. King Dodda Krishnaraja I of the Mysore Wodeyar dynasty provided significant support, expanding the temple and making generous grants before c. 1732.
In the early 18th century, Dalavoy (feudal lord) Devarajiah of the influential Kalale family donated a striking metallic statue of the Hindu god Rama to the temple during his later years.
