Mammiyur Sri Mahadeva Temple is a well-known Shiva temple located in Guruvayur, Thrissur district, Kerala, India. It is customary for every devotee visiting Guruvayur Temple to also pay their respects at Mammiyoor.
The temple follows specific rituals, and entry is restricted to Hindus only. Mammiyur Mahadeva Temple is one of the 108 renowned Shiva temples in Kerala and is among the five significant Shiva temples surrounding Guruvayur. The principal deity worshipped here is Lord Shiva.
The temple features the concept of 'Uma Maheshwara,' depicting Lord Shiva with Goddess Parvati on his left side. In addition to this, there is a shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple also includes sub-deities such as Lord Ganapati and Lord Subrahmanya.
The temple also features deities such as Lord Ayyappan, Goddess Kali, and various serpent deities. It is managed by the Malabar Devaswom Board, with daily rituals including three poojas. The hereditary Thanthri (priest) of the temple is from the Puzhakkara Chennas Mana family.
