The Sri Devapiran Temple, located in Tholavillimangalam, Tamil Nadu, is one of the twin temples collectively known as Irattai Tirupati.
This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, worshipped here as Devapiran, and is associated with the Navagraha Ketu. It is part of the Nava Tirupati group, comprising nine temples along the banks of the Thamirabarani River, each linked to one of the nine planetary deities.
The temple's legend narrates that Sage Athreya Suprabha discovered a bright balance (Thulam) and a bow (Villu) while preparing for a yagna. Upon touching them, they transformed into a man and a woman, who had been cursed by Kubera to take these forms.
Their redemption led to the place being named Thulam Vill Mangalam, later evolving to Tholavillimangalam.
