The Sharana Basaveshwara Temple is a shrine located in Kalaburgi (Gulbarga), an ancient town in the northeastern part of Karnataka.
The temple is dedicated to Shri Sharana Basaveshwara, a Lingayat religious teacher and philosopher of the 18th century. He is revered for his teachings on Dasoha (giving is earning) and Kayaka, which advanced the Karma doctrine.
The temple houses the Samadhi of Sharana Basaveshwara in the central sanctum, known as the garbha gudi. Adjacent to the temple is a lake, which attracts numerous devotees and tourists.
