Sree Venugopala Krishna Swami Devasthan is a Hindu temple situated in Chendamangalam, Kerala, India. Established in 1900 in the area formerly known as Jayanthamangal, it is located 42 km from Ernakulam, 22 km from Aluva, and 5 km from North Paravur. The main deity of the temple is Venugopalakrishna Swamy, and the central idol is a Shila Vigrah of Venugopalakrishna Swamy.
The Gaud Saraswat Brahmins (GSBs) who settled in Cochin eventually spread to neighboring suburbs and villages, with some families establishing themselves in Chendamangalam. Lacking a local place of worship, they were compelled to walk to the nearest temple in North Paravur to fulfill their spiritual needs. To address this issue.
They approached the Paliath Valiyachan of the Paliyam Swaroopam for assistance. In response, he donated land for the construction of the temple. With generous contributions from the local community, the temple was built, and the prathishta was performed on April 30, 1900.
In 1920, twelve community members, led by Chennoth Parambil Ramachandra Prabhu, initiated a chitty to generate funds. The profits from this endeavor were used to purchase land for the temple to cover daily expenses. Later, in 1956, the children of Chennoth Parambil Sri Dasa Prabhu established an Endowment Trust.
