Sri Sukreeswarar Temple, located in Sarkar Periyapalayam near Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu, is a historic Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, known here as Sukreeswarar.
The temple is situated approximately 8 km from Tiruppur on the Tiruppur-Erode Uthukuli road highway.
Believed to have been constructed around the 10th century CE by the Pandya rulers, the temple is considered one of the four Sirpa Sthalams in the Kongu region.
t is associated with Sugriva, the monkey king from the Ramayana, who is said to have worshipped Lord Shiva here.
