Thrissilery Shiva Temple is an ancient Hindu temple located in the Thrissilery neighborhood of Wayanad, Kerala, India. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it serves as a popular pilgrimage destination in the region.
Believed to have been constructed around 1000 years ago by the Chera kings, this temple is situated at the coordinates 11.8515°N 76.0166°E, approximately 19 km from Thirunelly.
It is believed that performing ancestral rites at the Thirunelly Vishnu Temple is considered incomplete unless followed by a visit to this temple.
The temple also houses other deities, including Parvati, Ganesha, Balakrishnan, and Dharma Sastha. Additionally, there is a separate shrine dedicated to Jal Durga, which was consecrated by Parashurama.
